I wrote, directed and shot this project for Gemini Vintage as a creative experiment. The idea was to test our ability to compose for both vertical and horizontal aspect ratios.
If vertical video is here to stay, we need to evolve our eye along with it. I kept in mind a vertical frame when shooting, but kept the camera horizontal to preserve the ability to display it in either format. The result was a series of acceptable compositions ready for cross-platform delivery.
